Lucky spent years working in the moving industry and operating a moving company in Maine.
After relocating with his wife and dog from Maine to North Carolina, he used that firsthand moving experience to shape the company's customer-focused approach.
He combined his passion for the outdoors surfing/ snowboarding, and his expertise in moving relocation to create the Hang-10 Moving brand and vibe. The idea is that it requires preparation, balance, adaptability, and staying calm when things change.
The company's mission is to help people navigate one of life's biggest transitions through honest communication, professional service, and practical relocation expertise.
Lucky also created MoveCube, which is a GPT Agent from Open AI. It was created to extend that expertise by helping people estimate moving costs, calculate shipment size, understand moving quotes, avoid scams, learn about valuation and insurance, plan packing strategies, and make better relocation decisions.
The Hang-10 name reflects a lifetime of personal learning through hard work, travel, and outdoor adventure:
